DIGS is owned by Raena Ballantyne DeMaris, MS-GIST. Raena has 14 years progressive expertise in GIS data analysis and management for cultural and environmental sciences, and twenty-four years of professional experience in archaeology and cultural resource management (CRM). Her technical strengths include GIS raster and vector analysis, Web GIS and application development, geospatial data management, cartography and data visualization, and use of remote sensing data--particularly as they relate to the social and environmental sciences. She designed a map for publication in Paul Lindholdt’s Book, The Spokane River (2018, University of Washington Press). In 2022, she earned her MS-GIST degree with a 4.0 GPA and a superior rating of her capstone project. She is a well-established resource in the application of GIS for clients and projects in the Pacific Northwest and across the globe.
